First Intec LP215 Digital Label System in Australasia

Rob and Malissa Pruis owner operators of Maroondah Printing located in Melbourne’s outer eastern suburb of Ringwood are the first Australian company to invest in the latest in Digital Label Printing systems from Intec Printing Solutions.

“We have grown a very good business over the last 30 years surviving on the traditional fare of the standard offset printer, Business stationery, Leaflets, Newsletters etc

Whilst we feel we have continued to keep pace with
the changing landscape of the print industry with digital
& Ctp over the years traditional offset continues to be challenging and you need to be the lookout constantly for other opportunities.

I have always been of the belief that packaging & labels are the two areas in this industry that will continue to be strong. We have printed flat sheet labels for a number of clients over the years but have found a growing demand for labels on rolls in the last 18 months.
We have discussed the pros & cons of moving into this market but have been unable to justify the large investment required to put in a machine, until we saw the brochure on the Intec label printer. For a smaller entry level type machine I was very impressed with it’s speed & print quality.
As well as the ability to print on such a wide range of materials including synthetics, textured and clear adhesives ( including white toner for the clear ) The big selling point though was the finishing unit which can custom cut any shape you want. Simply send a die line to the machine and it will cut that shape. It will then weed the excess material and slit the master roll into smaller rolls allowing multiple jobs to be run at the same time. It can even cut different shapes for each label across the width of the web. The installation was seamless and the training was clear & comprehensive. Our first job running in a couple of days. We are excited with the possibilities this machine will give us going forward”.
