Fuji Xerox Australia was recently named as a recipient of an Australian Packaging Covenant High Performer Award in the small-medium communications and electronics sector for the second year in succession. For 2015 awards were presented to organisations across 31 categories at functions held in Sydney and Melbourne.
The Australian Packaging Covenant (APC) is a sustainable packaging initiative to change the culture of businesses to design more sustainable packaging, increase recycling and reduce litter. The Award is bestowed on signatories who have not only achieved high scores on their annual reporting, but have delivered broader business benefits as a result of the sustainable packaging initiatives introduced.
The presentation of this award recognises the commitment of Fuji Xerox to packaging environmental sustainability and demonstrates the company’s commitment to continual improvement. In turn, Fuji Xerox has seen financial, productivity and environmental benefits.
Australian Packaging Covenant CEO Stan Moore said: “Under the current Covenant, we have seen a consistent improvement in signatory performance against our KPIs. This could not have been possible without the commitment of our high performing signatories and the contact officers that are helping to drive APC-related activities within those companies.

Moore said the APC’s high performers are leading the way in packaging sustainability and innovation, reflecting the increasing realisation that sustainable business is simply good business practice.
