The Océ Arizona team celebrates its 5000th printer

Canon subsidiary Océ has announced it is set to ship its 5,000th printer in the Océ Arizona Series. This milestone demonstrates the enthusiastic acceptance of these award-winning UV flatbed printers by discerning customers the world over, which has made Océ the market leader in mid-volume flatbed printers.

Since the first Océ Arizona systems were installed in May 2007, the series has helped transform the entire sign and display printing industry. As the first flatbed printer to use Océ VariaDot grayscale piezoelectric printing technology, the Océ Arizona 250 GT printer set new print quality standards and significantly expanded the application set for flatbed printing.

Today, Océ Arizona Series printers have been integrated into the production workflows at thousands of customer sites in more than 60 countries. They can be found in every corner of the world, supporting a vast assortment of print producers and applications.

The 5,000th unit to be built and shipped is a new Océ Arizona 6170 XTS printer. John’s Print Centre in South Australia’s will be the first Australian printer to install the new model.

“The world of imaging is changing radically,” says Dale Mortimer, director international marketing and business development, Océ Display Graphics Systems, Inc. “We know, because we are helping to drive that change with products like the Océ Arizona Series.”

The recent introduction of the Océ Arizona 6100 Series marks Canon’s entrance into the high-volume flatbed market segment. It features continuous printing speeds up to 155 m2 /hour, making it more than 10 times as productive as the first Océ Arizona printers. The enduring success of the Océ Arizona Series is the result of a commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction that is acknowledged by the receipt of more than 40 industry awards to date.
