Webinar shows how sustainability can be cash in the bank

Printing Industries' webinar on November 19 focuses on showing printing companies how to profit from maximising the marketing of their sustainability certification. The webinar is built around Printing Industries' Sustainable Green Print (SGP) certification program. It will also provide a program run-down for companies not yet certified.

Printing Industries SGP specialist David Hoban will deliver the webinar. Hoban has provided SGP training and advice for printing companies around Australia over a number of years helping them to achieve, maintain or upgrade their SGP certification levels.

His presentation will outline why SGP is a good idea for commercial, client and sustainability reasons and how its multi-tiered approach allows companies to tailor certification levels to their needs.

Those with certification will hear ideas to help them to maximise the value of their certification by using various marketing strategies that can help to lift the company profile, attract new customers, strengthen existing customer relationships by increasing sales opportunities with them, and maintain competitiveness in the marketplace.

Case studies will be used to highlight the success achieved by several SGP certified companies.

"For a printing company, certification has value in the marketplace as a means of aligning its operation with the environmental interests of customers and as a means of differentiating itself from the competition," Hoban said.

"In the case of quality-management and environmental-management systems, implementing the protocols and practices required to obtain certification can streamline and improve operations, leading to greater efficiency and, most importantly, profitability.

"But obtaining certification and then being able to effectively communicate that certification to customers and prospects can be another story and is not always easy. This webinar will shed some light on what can be done and highlight some strategies other companies have successfully used."
