Konica Minolta releases two new high volume bizhub models

Konica Minolta bizhub PRESS 2250P

Konica Minolta Business Solutions Australia has launched the bizhub PRESS2250P and the bizhub PRESS1250P, two high volume, high speed, monochrome print-only models that are ideal for intensive print jobs needing fast turnaround. Konica Minolta anticipates interest from the education and professional print markets for both models.

“Outstanding print quality, reliable performance and high productivity will ensure print professionals can promise their customers the highest quality results in record time;” said Grant Thomas, Konica Minolta’s production print product manager.

Both models are able to produce a 1200 x 1200 dpi resolution over a wide range of paper stocks, from 60 to 300gsm, reproducing the finest lines and the highest quality image density. All the paper trays accommodate SRA3, allowing a full bleed for brochures and booklets.

As well as accurate sheet to sheet image position via a possible 11 media tray capability with a massive capacity of 18,000 sheets, the models provide a huge range of highly configurable, inline finishing functions, including folding, stitching, stacking, booklet making, perfect binding and smart punching.

The bizhub PRESS 2250P operates on tandem engines and achieves speeds of upwards of 250 impressions per minute and 15,000 impressions per hour. It can handle media up to 216gsm at fully rated output speed and can easily manage duplex printing at up to 300gsm. The density of the print it provides can also be tuned manually or automatically on both sides of the page, ensuring absolute control. (These features make it the ideal model for chapterisation and for the production of exam materials, operator manuals, directories, books, booklets and technical documentation).

Customers can easily upgrade from a bizhub PRESS 1250P to the tandem engine bizhub PRESS 2250P when higher duplex print speeds are required.

Thanks to the low energy Fuser NIP technology and the long life of their consumables, both models are highly environmentally sustainable. With an operator replaceable unit for maintenance, downtime is considerably reduced and this, together with their unparalleled reliability, makes them best-in-class.
