K.W. Doggett reckonsit has three absolute winners in synthetic products engineered for digital printing: PicoFilm, EnDURO and Tacky Dry Super Tuff Poly. All are high temperature resistant, durable, tear proof and weather resistant.
PicoFilm
A coated polyester (PET) with a high temperature resistance of 200°C, PicoFilm is the perfect synthetic product for use on all digital printing machines, an environment where normal polyester (PET) and polypropylene (PP) products would melt. The high quality paper offers excellent colour reproduction, stiffness and trouble-free feeding and is suitable for both dry toner and HP Indigo presses.
End uses include numbered bibs for sporting events, use-by dates for food products, menus, personalised certificates and training manuals.
EnDURO
This high white paper laminate reinforced with a polypropylene (PP) or polyester (PET) film comes in ICE (PET – transparent) or Classic (PP – paper face). EnDURO handles just like paper – so special printing plates, blankets and drying conditions are not necessary. The ideal combination of paper feel, with the strength and printability of a synthetic, is easy to convert, has great printability and is easy to fold. It can be used on dry toner and HP Indigo presses.
EnDURO fulfils all transparent synthetic requirements including overlays, envelopes and protective jackets, while EnDURO Ice is suitable for maps, golf/membership cards, tags, entrance tickets and any job that requires the look and performance of paper but with the strength of a synthetic.
TackyDry Super Tuff Poly
This unique polyester-based product is tough but has a soft tactile quality and is double sided with the positive characteristics of both polyester and paper. It is water and tear resistant with excellent durability plus it feeds, prints and handles print finishing processes like paper does. It also folds cleanly, which is unique compared to other digital synthetic sheets.
Tacky Dry Super Tuff Poly is suited for printing with dry toner technology and offers adhesive and non adhesive options.
Uses include airline and hospital tray liners, boat manuals, book covers, bookmarks, maps, children books, coasters, construction plans, golf scorecards, heating and cooling tags, hiking luggage tags, maps, menus, place mats, racing bibs, tab dividers, tags, tape measures, tree tags, wristbands.
