Soltect seminars highlight automation benefits

Australian prepress automation specialist company Soltect, Currie Group and Pent Net are combining forces to hold two seminars that will focus on the benefits of automating prepress and print processes to bring profitability back to printers.

The seminars are designed to inform directors, general managers and managers of print operations of the potential for greater productivity and faster turnaround that automation can provide their businesses. They will highlight how true automation can streamline prepress and print processes so that print businesses can work more efficiently, and maximise the profits from every print job they undertake.

By automating processes, businesses can handle more work during each shift, while requiring fewer staff to perform manual tasks, which not only cuts operating costs but boosts the job count each shift and reduces the number of errors requiring reruns.

The two seminars will be held in Sydney on February 17 and in Melbourne on February 19, at the premises of Currie Group in both cities.

Yves Roussange, managing director of Soltect, said, “We are holding these seminars to highlight the opportunities open to printers to improve their business. Automation is the key to unlocking their business’s potential through better performance and higher profit margins by moving into a ‘Push’ system. Every printer is seeking those benefits, and we can show them how to. This is not about more or faster printing equipment; it is about working smarter and faster with what you already have.”

During the seminars, several printers who have unlocked the secrets of higher automation will speak about their experiences, and how they analysed their processes to find new potential in them.

Maxim Heyndrickx, international sales account manager at Enfocus, will fly in from Europe to speak with printers about new opportunities in business automation. Enfocus is a leading software company specialising in the development of tools to control the quality of PDF files for print and to automate workflow processes. The company’s innovative solutions streamline workflow throughout the complete production chain –from design to final print.

The seminars will also feature demonstrations of the latest developments in Indigo digital print and finishing technology, while showcasing automated print processes.

Phillip Rennell, sales and marketing director at Currie Group, said, “We’re pleased to be hosting the seseminars with Soltect and Pent Net. We’re confident that they will provide printers with a totally new perspective on their overall business processes, and at the same time provide opportunities to view what the latest Indigo digital print technology can deliver in both quality and performance.”

Pent Net’s Peter Ludwig said, “Participating in the Enfocus seminar with Soltect and the Currie Group will demonstrate how easy it is to integrate Pent Net Web2Print solutions with SwitchBOX and HP Indigo for a complete client-to-print workflow.”
