Spandex WA Open House set for November

Spandex’s new offices and warehouse in Malaga, Perth

Western Australian sign, display and POP printers should mark their calendars for Friday November 7 when the recently merged Spandex and Qualsign business will host an all-day Open House in its new building in Malaga, Perth. There will be live demonstrations, supply partner presentations from Avery Dennison, Arlon, Mimaki, HP, Epson, 3A Composites and others, plus product promotions, give-aways and refreshments.

“It will be like a mini trade show,” says Spandex managing director Alex McClelland, “and is also a celebration of our merging of Qualsign into the Spandex family, in a brand new building. We are not just showing products but customers will be invited to get hands-on with vehicle wrapping, cutting, tee-shirt printing and other associated essential skills for today’s sign and display industry.

“Our manufacturing supply partners will be there too on their own booths, bringing more expertise to the event. It’s a great opportunity for the WA industry to meet not just their Spandex and Qualsign friends but a raft of major technology innovators all in one location. I extend a personal welcome to all of the WA industry to come along on November 7 and see that the newly merged operation is a big company with small business at heart.”

Other features of the day, which runs from 9am to 8pm, include rigid material demonstrations from ImageBond, Alucobest and 3A Composites; roll media from ImagePerfect, Avery Dennison and Arlon; Summa plotting and Keencut cutting demonstrations; mounting demos using the correct tapes and adhesives; the Pizazz mounting system; mini cars to wrap and a bar open from 4pm.
