Mutoh Brings Award-Winning Technology to VI Sydney

Russell Cavenagh, General Manager of Mutoh Australia, says the company will launch the Mutoh ValueJet 1638UR roll-to-roll wide-format UV LED printer on Stand E40 at the Sydney show.

Developed specially for the commercial print, sign and display markets, the 64” VJ-1638UR prints high-quality images, on a wide range of substrates, quickly and cost effectively, but Cavenagh says it’s the machine’s versatility which will impress visitors the most.

“The VJ-1638UR is ideal for applications from in-store promotions and graphics, to floor and window decals, general signage, wallpapers, event and exhibition graphics, backlit panels, fine art prints and even packaging samples,” he says, citing Mutoh’s proven UV technology and flexible UV LED CMYK, White and Varnish inks, delivered via latest generation piezo ‘drop on demand’ print heads with the ability to achieve up to 1440 x 1440 dpi quality on a wide range of flexible substrates.

“The white and varnish ink options, in particular, expand the versatility of this machine by allowing printing to transparent and non-white substrates, multi-layer printing and spot varnish effects which really add value – and the opportunity for higher margins – to your print products,” Cavenagh says.

“With no warm up required, it’s fast to print and work is delivered instantly dry and ready to go, and with its eco-friendly VOC-free inks, LED UV energy efficiency and consistent performance – and of course, ready support through our dealers and Mutoh Australia – make this an economical and highly profitable investment.”

The company’s Visual Impact stand will also feature two of the company’s more familiar printers, both fresh from their award-winning success at the US SGIA.

The Mutoh ValueJet 1638UH is a 64” LED-UV hybrid printer that offers both roll and flat sheet options and eight ink slots for either double CMYK printing, or CMYK with two white and two varnish inks for added flexibility in both creativity and media choice.

The ‘table-top’ LED-UV Mutoh ValueJet 626UF offers a different kind of versatility, with the ability to print directly to both flat and three-dimensional media up to A2+ in size and up to 150mm high. This makes it ideal for products like pens, phone and tablet cases, trophies and awards, and dimensional signage possible. “There’s even a rotary unit available which allows printing around the circumference of bottles and other cylindrical options, in one pass,” Cavenagh adds.

Cavenagh says the awards at SGIA prove once again that Mutoh’s proprietary Smart Printing Technology in the ValueJet series is ‘second to none’ and, with competition tougher than ever, that kind of technological advantage is something that businesses can really employ to their advantage.

“We’re looking forward to meeting with visitors at Visual Impact, demonstrating these technologies to them, and exploring the ways in which Mutoh’s industry-leading technology can help them build their future business success,” he says.

Visual Impact runs from 12 – 14 September at the Sydney Showground, Sydney Olympic Park. Click here to register today, or find out more at the Visual Impact website. For more information please contact sales@mutoh-au.com
