Starleaton on Boosts X-Rite and Pantone Expertise with training

Sydney April 27th 2017 – Starleaton’s store of colour knowledge has just received a big boost after the return of staffers Russell Cavenagh and Peter Way from a comprehensive training course held at the Print Media Hub, Singapore.

Conducted by X-Rite’s International Application Specialist for EMEA, Wolfgang Renner, the 2-day course covered full training on complete Workflow of X-Rite’s job-oriented colour quality control system, iQC Print and Ink Formulation Software, IFS6 with the eXact hand-held spectrophotometer device and IntelliTrax press-side system. Included in the course was actual laboratory work at the IGT Test Laboratory – the world’s leading testing and research body for graphic techniques, headquartered in the Netherlands with  Singapore and USA branches.

The Pantone Live cloud-based matching system for Pantone special colours was also covered.

“The Singapore X-Rite course was and eye-opener,” says Starleaton’s colour management leader and NSW state sales manager Cavenagh, “Peter and I learnt so much more about the directions high-end colour management is taking, particularly with packaging, Flexo, Gravure and Offset. We look forward to sharing this knowledge with customers and at PacPrint in May.”

Starleaton will devote a large area of its stand to X-Rite and colour management at PacPrint 2017, Melbourne Exhibition Centre from May 23-26 on stand E30 right in the middle of the show.
