Fuji Xerox Australia has opened a new Canberra office as part of its ongoing investment to progressively build its capability and presence in the city and help enable the Federal Government’s digital service strategy.

Managing director Neil Whittaker said the opening also highlighted the importance of bringing together the skills of various important partners who share the passion to create a citizen-focused digital government.

“Fuji Xerox Australia is a passionate advocate for the digital transformation of Government, and we wanted to be in the heart of the Parliamentary Triangle closer to our key customers like DFAT, the AFP, Attorney General Department and Australian Government solicitors, to name a few.”

“Governments around the world are undergoing a major transformation to make online their default channel for citizen services, and we see Australia is following a similar path,” he said. “The goal – to go digital by 2017 – is an ambitious one but we believe it is achievable. At Fuji Xerox Australia we are dedicated to helping all levels of Government recognise this goal through our expertise in sustainable document management, managed print services and digital government capabilities.”

Previously located in Fyshwick, Fuji Xerox Australia has had a presence in Canberra for over 20 years. The opening of the new multi-million dollar facility was officiated by Andrew Bar, ACT Chief Minister and Gai Brodtmann MP, Member for Canberra.
