VI Seminars address big issues: engagement, change, success

Behavioural expert and author Allan Pease,

They’re the big issues for businesses, and people, in today’s rapidly changing landscape – change, customer engagement, future trends and productivity – and they’ll be just some of the subjects tackled at an exciting and extensive Seminar Program at Visual Impact, to be held at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre in just under three weeks’ time.

Already, hundreds of industry professionals have registered for the program and associated exhibition, which will see what is promising to be one of the best-ever Visual Impact sign, display and wide-format print expos co-located with an exciting new show, Exhibitions Expo.

World renowned behavioural expert and author Allan Pease will kick off the seminar program on Thursday, September 17 with a session on how to 'Activate Your Audience’s Sixth Sense – Engagement and Keys to Success'. This will be followed on by a session from Lee Ussher, co-founder of nationally recognised digital brand marketing agency BuzzWeb Media and established digital marketing strategy consultant, on 'How to Build a Successful Social Media Campaign'.

On Friday, September 18, you’ll have the chance to meet ‘a man on a mission’, Dr Toby Ford. Healer, master communicator, health and wellness advocate and change expert, he’s leading a session on how to make change a cornerstone of your business success. 'Change is Consistent – How About You?' will cover a raft of helpful information to explore how effective people manage change while thriving through the challenges and constant ‘overload’ which characterise modern life.

Later in the day, you won’t want to miss the warm, witty and wonderfully entertaining Warwick Merry, fresh from his recent TEDxMelbourne address, who will give delegates a look at 'Successful Sponsorship Management'. Delegates to this session will not only be inspired by Merry’s creative and theatrical presentation, but will leave with a sound, step by step process to ensure you not only attract the right sponsors, but deliver the kind of value for money that will keep them coming back to your event, year after year…and make sure they recommend you to others.

In the afternoon, there will be another two ‘must see’ sessions – firstly, you’ll be able to pick up a host of tips from the panel of experts, who will walk you through show operation basics in a session on 'Bumpin, Onsite Implementation and Bump Out: Tips from the Experts'. John Hadfield, recognised sign industry innovator, internet and marketing expert, will lead the panel which includes Jim Delahunty from ExponNet, Helen Mantellato from ICC Sydney, Michael Stubbs from Agility and Leighton Weed from the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre.

This will be followed a practical session on 'Developing your Team' from Bob McCarthy, head of Leadership Management Australia, a performance improvement company specialising in personal leadership and organisational leadership development. In this practical, hands-on session, you’ll ‘learn by doing’, taking away some fantastic new skills and approaches to help you develop effective, motivated and cohesive teams – that achieve the very best for your business.

On the final day, Saturday, the Program will be rounded off with another session from Bob McCarthy, this time on 'Improving your Personal Productivity'. This session will embody the mantra of McCarthy’s company, ‘Action, not words’, by providing the opportunity to put new skills and practices into action, cementing your learnings and setting the foundations for more positive, effective and productive behaviours.

This will be followed by the final session for this Melbourne show, an in-depth look at 'Trends in Production, Markets and the Future' from John Hadfield, Control Zone. Hadfield will draw on his extensive career experience across business consulting, website development and the sign and print industry, to share a’60 minute snapshot’ of what sign and digital print businesses will need to address to succeed and prosper in an increasingly competitive, challenging and exciting business environment.

Delegates to the Seminar Program will also be able to see well over 60 exhibitors showcasing everything from innovations in signage and displays, to wide-format print technology and the latest exhibition systems and resources, at Visual Impact and the associated Exhibitions Expo.

Visual Impact and Exhibitions Expo will run from 10am to 5pm on Thursday and Friday, September 17-18, and from 10am until 4pm on Saturday, September 19 at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre. The show is free for industry professionals to attend, but bookings are essential – to view the full seminarprogram, exhibitor list and to register for the show, go to www.visualconnections.org.au
