Positive Camtec makes a Pozitive change

A Pozitive change

Positive Camtec has changed its name to Pozitive as well as fronting a new logo for its sign and graphic supplies business to better convey its core products and services.

Over the last 23 years Positive Camtec has built a solid reputation for its portfolio of products from UV flatbed printers, Eco solvent printers, CNC routers, laser cutters and engravers, dye sublimation textile printers to a range of hardware, software and consumables for the sign making, screen printing, graphics, display and commercial printing industries. It is the Australian representative for well-known names such as swissQprint, Roland DG, Epson, Kern, Argus and Impact.

However, managing director Philip Trumble felt that the name Positive Camtec – the latter based on the acronym for computer aided manufacturing technology – no longer portrayed the company’s business.

Market research and consultation with the entire staff resulted in Camtec being dropped and changing Positive to Pozitive. “Spelling Pozitive with a ‘z’ gave us the creative edge we were looking for and incorporated the word Oz, which signifies that we supply our products and services right across the Australian market,” said Trumble.

The new logo retains the corporate colours. It is clean, crisp, professional, yet also striking and easily recognised, while the tagline, ‘sign & graphic supplies’ clearly identifies the company’s core business and removes any ambiguity carried by the previous name.

The new domain name is www.pozitive.com.au and all company email addresses will be converted to @pozitive.com.au. Phone, fax and ABN remain the same.
