A drum roll for Roland 's Rock Star Party with Starlight Foundation

Drumsticks were printed on the Roland VersaUV LEF-20

Each year Roland Corporation Australia and Starlight Children's Foundation host a 'Rockstar Party' at the Randwick and Westmead Children's Hospitals' Starlight Express Room. This year Roland DG Australia got on board by printing custom logos on over 150 drumsticks for the event.

Ben Gillies, (Bento frontman and ex-Silverchair), along with singer songwriter, Geoffrey Williams, dropped by the Starlight Express Room to give seriously ill and hospitalised children a Rockstar Party to remember.

Roland Corporation have donated equipment in the past such as handsonics and electronic drumkits for the event, and this year donated two digital pianos and the printed drumsticks, which were given to all participating kids to use whenever they're in the Starlight Express Room.

The drumsticks were printed on the Roland VersaUV LEF-20 UV printer, which can print directly onto a vast array of materials and three-dimensional objects. The LEF-20 was the perfect tool for a job such as this with its large print bed, vibrant and flexible ECO-UV ink, auto-detect material height, plus a unique 'distance' print mode that produces excellent print quality on curved objects.

Every minute of every day a child is admitted to hospital in Australia. Thousands of these admissions will lead to a diagnosis that will impact upon the whole family and change their lives forever. Show your support by donating to Starlight Children's Foundation today and help to brighten their lives.
