WA Government representative to open Spandex branch

The Hon. Peter Katsambanis MLC

The Hon.Peter Katsambanis MLC, Member for Perth North Metro, will officially open the new Spandex WA branch, merged with Qualsign, at 9.30am on Friday November 7. He will be representing the WA Minister for Small Business, the Hon. Joe Francis MLA. Members of the WA sign and display small business community are encouraged to come along at this time and follow on with the open house displays and demonstrations.

Katsambanis is unique amongst Parliamentarians in that he is the only one to have been elected in two states – he was formerly member for Monash Province in the Victorian Parliament before moving with his family to Perth and winning his WA seat in the 2013 state election.

The proceedings will be introduced by Spandex managing director Alex McClelland, who says: “We are extremely honoured to have the Hon. Peter Katsambanis open our new WA facility. Sign and display producers represent a substantial number of small businesses, where average number of employees can be between ten and twenty but they punch well above their weight in terms of achievement and contribution to commerce and safety.”

Features of the day, which runs from 9am to 8pm, include rigid material demonstrations from ImageBond, Alucobest and 3A Composites; roll media from ImagePerfect, Avery Dennison and Arlon; Summa plotting and Keencut cutting demonstrations; mounting demos using the correct tapes and adhesives; the Pizazz mounting system; minicars to wrap and a bar open from 4pm.

The Spandex WA Open House starts at 9am on Friday, November 7 and runs through until 8pm. It will be held at the Spandex branch at 6 Mulgul Rd, Malaga.

Spandexinvites RSVPs from those wishing to attend the 9:30am opening by contacting SpandexWA on 08 9443 5435.
