More major players sign up for PrintEx15

PrintEx15 will be held at the Sydney Showground May 13-15

The list of exhibitors booked for PrintEx15 continues to go from strength to strength, with several more major players putting ink to paper in recent days. According to co-hosts GAMAA and Printing Industries, having such a strong list of confirmed exhibitors some eight months out demonstrates a clear vote of industry confidence in PrintEx15, which will co-locate with Visual Impact at the Sydney Showground, Sydney Olympic Park from May 13-15, 2015.

Industry heavyweights Currie Group, Agfa Graphics, BJ Ball, Dainippon Screen, DES, Ferag and Kayell are among the larger suppliers to sign in recent days, with Minipack, Trimat and Pelican Artline also confirming their participation. They will join other previously contracted exhibitors including Konica Minolta, Neopost Australia, Bottcher, Optimus, Tharstern and DSM Kalker, as well as a number of other leading names which are in the process of finalising their bookings.

Currie Group has booked the largest stand in PrintEx history, at more than twice the size of the next largest exhibit. Executive chairman David Currie says they are delighted to have secured such a flagship site on which to showcase the latest from partners like HP Indigo, Horizon, Scodix, Foliant, Agfa, Cron, Omnet, ABGi, AVT and Kama.

“Our involvement at PrintEx is part of our continued investment in the industry – we know from experience that our customers like to see the latest equipment and automation on show, which is why we’re not only committed to being there, but to increasing our showcase,” he says.

While it’s too early to reveal specific plans, marketing manager Matt Tangey says the Currie Group display will include everything from prepress workflow, to digital print, embellishment and automated finishing in an ‘exciting, fully integrated environment’.

“PrintEx is the only printing exhibition in 2015 and will be a fantastic opportunity for Sydney locals, interstate and overseas visitors alike to see the latest solutions in this extensive and unrestricted exhibitor space,” he says. “Currie Group boasts an unmatched partner portfolio and we are looking forward to welcoming more visitors to what we promise will be an unrivalled experience.”

Mark Brindley, managing director of Agfa Graphics Oceania, says his company is also looking forward to the opportunity provided by the exhibition to connect with the wider industry and showcase an expanded product range.

“We understand the challenges print service providers continue to face and we’ve been transforming our own business and product range to help them meet those challenges by improving efficiency, cutting costs, increasing margins and creating profitable new revenue streams,” he says.

“PrintEx15 will be an important destination for decision makers and an ideal environment for us to demonstrate our newly expanded range, which includes exciting new digital print capabilities from MGI, our own wide-format inkjet equipment, prepress and workflow solutions and consumables. We’re very pleased to be on board.”

This growing list of leading exhibitors underscores not only the importance of the exhibition as a place to connect and discover the very latest innovations and advances, but also the range of equipment, systems and services which will be on display, said Phillip Rennell, PrintEx chairman.

“The PrintEx15 Board has one firm objective for the Sydney show – to richly reward the time commitment of those who attend, either as exhibitors or visitors, with ideas, innovation, education, resources and opportunities to connect.

“Bringing the industry together under one roof is what shows like PrintEx are all about, and we are very encouraged to see the calibre of companies that have already signed on to exhibit in Sydney next May, as their participation is critical to delivering that value. Add to that a ‘new look’ practical educational component which has grown out of the programmes offered at previous shows, and the chance to see a wider range of products via the co-located Visual Impact exhibition, and we’re confident PrintEx 15 will be a ‘must attend’ exhibition, delivered at a critical time for our industry.”

“Above all, however, it is the chance to see, compare and contrast offerings from the industry’s leading suppliers under one roof, discuss options and offers with the people behind the products, and to catch up with colleagues and industry friends, which will deliver the greatest value.”
