Konica Minolta launches new flagship high speed colour presses

Konica Minolta Australia has launched two new flagship colour presses at a cocktail event held at spectacular harbour-side Pier One in The Rocks, Sydney.

The bizhub PRESS C1100 and C1085 boast printing speeds of up to 100 and 85 impressions per minute respectively, making them the fastest of Konica Minolta’s colour production presses. In keeping with the focus on high speed, guests were treated to a performance by speed painter Brad Blaze, who captivated the crowd by revealing a range of subjects live on canvas, ranging from the entertainer Pink to the new high speed press.

Managing director Dr David Cooke opened the evening with a message about Konica Minolta’s commitment to customers, staff and the community as a “company that cares”. A presentation was made to two of Konica Minolta’s charity partners, Landcare Australia and Project Futures, of a donation representing $100 for each guest.

Later in the evening, a further $3,000 was raised through the auction of one of the paintings done on the night. In total, $17,000 was donated to charity.

“With the bizhub PRESS C1100, we take the next step in the colour production printer market after the great success of our first mid-production system,” says general manager production printing, George Fryer. “They are capable of higher speeds and higher volumes and so offer customers the power and flexibility to differentiate their print businesses.”
