Dainippon Screen has announced that its Truepress Jet W3200UV flatbed printer will be available exclusively through Graphic Art Mart, effective from September 9, the opening day of Visual Impact Sydney.

Released at last year’s FESPA, the machine is capable of producing 85 square metres per hour, or 150 square metres with the High-Speed upgrade. Graphic Art Mart’s flatbed UV specialist  Michael Liveris saw the W3200 at its launch, and was impressed, saying: “The W3200UV manufactured by Inca, combines high productivity with high print quality. We are delighted to be the exclusive distributor, as this Screen machine is a perfect complement to our extensive range of wide format media.”

The W3200 will become Graphic Art Mart’s premium flatbed UV offering. Managing director Mousa Elsarky agrees, “In the Screen Truepress W3200UV we have found the perfect addition to our equipment range. Until now we have only been able to offer roll and hybrid machines from Roland and Mutoh. The W3200 takes us into the serious high-end of flatbed UV production in one leap and with Screen’s renowned technical service, we know we have a partner who will look after our customers.”

For Screen, partnering with Graphic Art Mart was the logical option. Peter Scott, managing director of Screen Australia, says: “It makes sense that we should have a major consumables supplier such as Graphic Art Mart as our exclusive distributor for the W3200UV. They are a growing company with a great reputation and experienced staff. I am delighted to welcome Mousa and his team to the Dainippon Screen family of partners.”

Live demonstrations will begin in October with the commissioning of the first W3200UV to arrive. However, print samples and a video will be available on the Graphic Art Mart stand, C4, at Visual Impact Sydney 2014.
