Senior executives front QLD Supply Chain & Logistics Conference

John Wagner, chairman Wagners Global Services, and Jane Anderson, personal branding expert, speaker, author and mentor, are just two of the speakers who will be presenting at the 15th annual Queensland Supply Chain and Logistics Conference. They will be supported by John Dornbusch, chairman Freight Terminals; Priscilla Radice, senior manager strategic projects Port of Brisbane; Shane Charles, CEO Toowoomba and Surat Basin Enterprise (TSBE); and Steve Kanowski, chief economist and executive director, Department of State Development, Infrastructure and Planning.

Following on from the successful new workshops introduced on day two in 2013 there will be six workshops to choose from focusing this year on personal and professional development. Delegates will have the choice of attending workshops on Procurement, Supply Chain & Logistics and Personal Development.

One of the keynote personal development sessions of the two-day event will be Jane Anderson’s presentation on ‘How we are perceived in our own organisation reflects in our ability to influence’. One of the greatest challenges is changing an organisation's perception of a department’s brand. For example, in a recent survey when asked to describe their perception of procurement, respondents used words like “transactional, process driven, bureaucracy, inflexible cost/price focus, blockage, restrictive”. During this session Anderson will share her insights on how to get clarity and define your department’s brand.

To be held on September 4 and 5 at the Sofitel Hotel Brisbane, the Queensland Supply Chain & Logistics Conference is the largest event of its kind in the state and is ideally suited for supply chain, logistics, transport and procurement professionals and practitioners.
