IGAS 2015 prepares for business

IGAS 2015 venue: Tokyo Big Sight

IGAS 2015, organised by the Japan Graphic Arts Suppliers Committee, will take place from Friday, September 11 to Wednesday, September 16, 2015 for six days at the Tokyo Big Sight, East Halls.

The Japanese economy is getting back on track for growth supported by the recovery of its export industry backed by the correction of Yen appreciation in the foreign exchange market and also by steady public investments and consumer spending. Although the printing industry continues to face severe management issues as a result of the spread of diversified information media and also by shrinkage of the market caused by the decreasing birthrate and aging population, the industry is showing signs of recovery, albeit still mild.

Surrounded by such an environment, the committee will propose the creation of new businesses through innovation of printing technology, services, and solutions and will also be providing an opportunity for active business interchanges, under the main theme, "Print +innovation, further challenge to the print technology!" .

IGAS2015 will not be held as a conventional exhibition on printing machinery, but will be an exhibition which provides task-solving solutions for printing and an opportunity for communication involving not only printing companies but all related parties from purchasers to end users.

Over 100 special lectures, panel discussions, and seminars on various themes will be held to attract key visitors with purchasing decision making authority. Themes directly relating to business will be covered, including trends of latest print technology, marketing on print, changes and innovation in business operations, and new business development.

Professionally guided programs touring the exhibition site will be conducted for capacity of 5,000 participants. Tours on various categories and themes are being planned. These tours will be a perfect opportunity for exhibitors to publicise their products, technology, and services. Useful and easy to participate tour programs for international visitors will also be offered.

Highlight areas of the exhibition and topics of interest will help visitors get an overview of the entire exhibition and will give spotlights to small-scale exhibits that tend to be overlooked and to exhibits in new categories. Various talk show events will be held and timely information will be broadcasted to help improve visitor satisfaction.

A business-matching corner for exhibitors and visitors from abroad will provide specific information and hospitality. Detailed exhibitor information and business matching services by professional coordinators will be provided. Multi-lingual services will be available in English, Chinese, and Korean, and services for visitors from other countries such as Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand will also be available.
