Roland DG shows latest wide format technology at VIIE Brisbane

With the latest wide format technology in the market today, Roland DG had a full range of solutions available for visitors to see in action on its stand. The newly released VersaCAMM VS-i wide format printer cutters, and the VersaUV LEF-20 Benchtop UV printer were officially displayed for the first time in Australia. Also on display were the versatile PRO4 XR-640 printer cutter and the super fast PRO4 XF-640 printer, essential items for any busy sign shop. The VersaUV LEJ-640 hybrid flatbed displayed a range of unique samples displaying the possibilities with this versatile device.

Available on the stand was a free wide format sample book filled with real world production print samples. For anyone looking to upgrade to the latest wide format technology, or thinking about entering the wide format market, this booklet has been designed to help you understand what is possible with wide format, and give you some new ideas to expand your print offering.

VIE Brisbane hosted the Queensland state finals of the ASGA Wrap Master Challenge where four teams completed to go through to the Australian final where the winners will be crowned the Wrap Master Champion and receive a Roland PRO4 XR-640 printer cutter as grand prize.

As part of the show workshop program, wide format colour specialist, Simon Waters from Roland DG, ran the 'VersaWorks Colour Matching - Including Pantone' session. In addition, the RolandClinic was open throughout the show on the Roland DG stand for anyone looking for advice, workflow tips or to discuss how to get the most out of their Roland device.

Visitors to the Roland DG stand at Visual Impact Brisbane also had the chance to meet Erebus Motorsport V8 team driver Lee Holdsworth, who took first place in the Winton 400 round of the V8 Supercar championship – marking the historic first win for the Erebus team.
