Goran Roos to address PrintNZ Conference

PrintNZ has scored a coup in securing Goran Roos as the first international speaker announced for the upcoming PrintNZ Conference in June. Roos is a world recognised expert and major contributor to the thinking and practice in the areas of strategy and innovation management for manufacturing, as well as industrial and innovation policy.

Professor Roos, who was the founder of Intellectual Capital Services Ltd, a leading think tank on technology and business futures, has published numerous books, articles and case studies on the subject and his consulting experience ranges across both public and private sectors in over 40 countries.

As well as being Honorary Professor at Warwick Business School in the UK, he is also visiting Professor of Innovation Management and Business Model Innovation at VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland, and visiting Professor of Intangible Asset Management and Performance Measurement at the Centre for Business Performance at Cranfield University UK.

In his academic and professional work Professor Roos has advised government bodies in the UK, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Spain, Austria and Australia on issues relating to strategy, research and development, national and regional innovation systems issues, knowledge management and intellectual capital. In 2011 he worked on a project with South Australian manufacturers and policy makers to build a successful manufacturing future for the state.

Named as one of the 13 most influential thinkers for the 21st Century, he is sought after worldwide to speak at conferences. His keynote presentation to a crowded room at Printex in Sydney last year was exceptionally well received. At the Auckland event, he will be addressing the topic ‘Manufacturing for the Future’.

The PrintNZ Conference will be held on June 28 and 29, 2012 at the Heritage Hotel in Auckland
