Momentum Pro is an integrated automated workflow solution thatconsists of the Momentum RIP and Momentum Workflow. The foundationof Momentum Pro is the Harlequin-based Momentum RIP which has longbeen recognized as one of the premiere RIPs in the industry.

The Momentum Workflow adds a graphical user interface to theMomentum RIP giving pre-press operators RIP control directly fromtheir desktop. Workflows can be tailored to meet the requirementsof specific jobs or customers to further streamline theprocess.

Options

Workflow Clients

Clients enable pre-press operators to remotely view andmanage the workflow from a Mac or PC workstation. This helps reduceunnecessary trips to the RIP workstation by bringing controldirectly to the operator. The system includes 2 clients with theoption of adding up to a maximum of 10.

Multiple RIP Support

Momentum Pro has the capability of managing 2 differentMomentum RIP's simultaneously. This increases throughput andstreamlines the production process. The system includes support for1 RIP with the option of adding up to a maximum of 3.

In-RIP Trapping

TrapPro is an object-and vector-based in-RIP trapping program. Themain features include auto-chokes super blacks, small textprotection, raster-to-raster trapping, sliding traps, mitered endsand feathered traps.

Proofing Plug-ins

Momentum supports a wide variety of proofing options, includingthe most popular ink jet proofers from Epson. Adding a proofingplug-in to Momentum closes the colour loop, ensuring dataintegrity. The same RIP is used for proofing and final outputto plates.

FM Screening

Momentum Pro's FM screening is based on Harlequin's HDS (HarlequinDispersed Screening). This screening technology is a perfect fitfor Presstek 34DI and 52DI presses. HDS creates images withincreased sharpness with a continuous tone appearance.

CIP3

The CIP3 output plug-in enables Momentum to produce PrintProduction Format (PPF) files containing information about printjobs, including administrative data, information about inks, andpreview images.
